I love MDS!!! I love that I can create a beautiful page in minutes. I love to scrap the traditional way as well. But when you only have a short amount of time. It also helps me to choose what pictures to print out and weed out the ones I won't use.
With new updates for the program every month you can have all the fun new items for your computer too.
I like that it is on my laptop, so it can go when I do.
Gearing up for a busy Natal Day weekend here, so that means more pictures to scrap.
Enjoy your Friday.

This is made with the new set Just Believe. It is a beautiful and versitile set. It is also my favorite new catalogue set. I coloured the image with markers and stamped it on white card stock. I cut it out and used dimentionals to pop it off the card.
The colours used were real red, so saffron, old olive and piroette pink.
I used the en franciase background and ran it through the big shot with a texture plate.
I love my big shot and don't know how I would get along with out it.
I am hoping to be able to get back to crafting and be able to share some new projects with you over the weekend.
Have a stampy day!

I just recieved my first New Catalogue order on Friday and got some wonderful new items to play with.
I love the DSP called Love Letters. The simple colour combination of Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and very Vanilla is so pretty and vintage.
I am busy trying to get ready for Young Womens camp in August. We all have to have pixie pal gifts so I am making all mine. I will have another adult leader to give to. I will be sharing my projects through the next week.
I need to get more of these books they are so much fun to decorate.
Have a happy Monday!!!

I found this colour challenge at Always Playing with Paper .

Again not likely a colour combo I would put together. LOL But now I am a huge fan of Pacific Point. Here it is paired with Bashful Blue and Old Olive.

I absolutely love this stamp set. I can't wait to play with it again.
I find with the new colour renovation complete, I am so much more inclined to branch out and try more colours than my tried and true combo's.
Of course I feel blessed that in the reno I only lost one of my favorite colours and that was pale plum. (But I stocked up. LOL
Enjoy!! I actually am going to stamp today.

CCMC 107
Posted by PicasaI love this card that I made using the CCMC 107 colour challenge. I love it because, I would have never in a million years put these colours together and I love it!!!!!!
We have real red, pink pirouette, old olive and so saffron.
The stamp set is new and I just got it in the mail this past week. It is called Just Believe item number 120453 (clear mount).
I hand coloured the stamps with marker to get the 2 coloured image. I just totally loved this card, and my mojo fell right into place. I have had a wicked case of stampers block. I just hope it wasn't the late night crafting session. I love my sleep. Maybe it was a break from this heat...thankfully.
But I think I was inspired by these beautiful colours, I really love the colour renovation and am happy to have such beautiful easy to coordinate colours available to me.

I made this card using a colour combo from the Colour Coach. The combo is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight. I also used a texture plate (friends). I also used the big daisy. I love to be able to make my own flowers. I love the flowers that you can get but I find they never go with my project. Very pretty but just not the right colour. So if i have the technology to make my own it is way better. :)

I love my punches and I LOVE my BIG SHOT!!!!!!! So much fun to play with. I have a bunch of things to do today but.....since it is raining I might go and see what else I can create!

Have a crafty day!

This is a sketch design that I found over on Create with Connie and Mary, I really love to play along with sketch challenges. For the friends card I used a combo of Sahara Sand , Pink Pirouette and Bashful Blue. I used the Lattice embossing folder as well as the new Large scallop circle punch. I like how soft and pretty this card turned out.

For this card I used Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Early Espresso. The buttons are retired but in the Baja Breeze colour. Another item I hoarded but didn't use. I have got to stop that and use my pretties before they retire. LOL I used a texture plate for the back ground piece. I love the texture plates....note to self use them more!

The flower is made using the large and regular scallop punches. You punch 2 of each size and glue dot them together and cut down each scallop to about 1/2 inch from the center. I then used a flower from the Boho blossoms punch and did the same thing. I punched a hole through the centers and topped it off with a crystal brad. Really cute and easy.

I found the instructions for this on the blog Dostamping with Dawn. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is the new colour coach item number 121620.
It is a wonderful new tool. It has all the colours on the front of the card with colour combo suggestions to get you started. It also has blank cards for you to fill in your own combos. It is small enough to fit in a purse so you can take it with you if you are shopping for colour related items.
I really enjoy having this new tool. Ask to see it at the next party.
Have a colourful day!

It's here at last...... the new IB&C!!!!! It is bigger, more beautiful and betterer (yes that's a word) than any catalogue before it. I have had rave reviews from those who have already witnessed it's beauty. The biggest complaint was that the wish lists weren't big enough!
Here is my 10 Must Have List
  1. 120531 The Nicest Things 17.95 page 71
  2. 119874 Decore wheel 7.95 page 133
  3. 117132 Teahouse BG 21.95 page 141
  4. 117163 Elegant Soiree DSP 12.50 page 175
  5. 117273 Antique Brads 7.50 page 187
  6. 119246 Paper Daisies 8.50 page 188
  7. 118074 Owl Punch 23.95 page 200
  8. 119246 Basic Rhinestones 6.50 page 188
  9. 117167 Love Letter DSP 12.50 page173
  10. 120561 Notably Ornate 21.95 page 125

These products are in no particular order and there are so many more cool items I could go on for days. But these will be among the first things I order. I can't wait to get my hands on that owl. He is so stinkin'cute!

So enjoy your Canada Day and enjoy the new catalogue.......happy reading til we meet again.

I am learning some new techniques using a brayer. I have had this tool on my desk for ever and never really use it. But thanks to Michelle Zindorf I am trying to get creative with the brayer. She is the Queen of backgrounds. Her work leaves me in awe. I am excited that she shares her talent so freely with others.
I will try to improve my brayer skills and hopefully someday be kind of good at it. Here is my first work of art. I used the Brayer to do the background and also to put colour on the embossed piece. I am starting to realize the potential of this little tool. :)
Happy Stamping on a rainey Monday.

Well the end of the Stampin' Up! year is upon us, and a new and wonderfully fabulous NEW catalogue is on it's way.
I had to be away at the beginning of last week and a couple of very kind people looked after my 11 year old. So I made them some of my famous Chocolate chip cookies. I wanted them to look as good as they taste. (the secret is Ghirardelli chips)
I used my Big Shot for this project. I love that machine!! I cut the tags and flowers using the tag and island flowers die. The thank you and flower border are from a new level one hostess set.

I used Daffodil delight on one tag (a new core colour) and Baja Breeze for the other along with some pretty new designer series paper. I can't wait to get some of the cool new things we have in store for everyone. On Canada Day I will post a list of my personal must haves.

This is what the cookies looked like before they were gifted. They were appreciated and I love to be able to put that extra special touch on a thank you!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you stop by often.

Posted by PicasaThis is a sneak peek at one of the fabulous new hostess sets from the upcoming IB&C. It is available July 1st with a 200.00 order. Book a party and reap the rewards. :)
I found this technique on someones blog. When I find the blog I will give a link and credit to the original creator. This is super easy and beautiful. First you ink up the stamp with versa mark ink. Then I applied Bashful Blue with the stamp pad and added the artichoke and concord crush with the markers. Stamped it and embossed the image in clear ep. Super pretty. I also used the new embossing folder (Vintage Wallpaper) I love this look.
I am thrilled that Stampin'Up! has come out with so many beautiful vintage inspired sets.
You are going to love the embellishments as well.
I should according to Canada Post have Catalogues in my hand tomorrow. It is the best IB&C in years. Totally love it.

This was a card I did at a recent workshop. We used the Generation stamping technique using the new Watercolour Trio set. This set is a new must have. I don't always go for flower sets even though I love flowers. Weird I know.
This card uses items from the new Summer Mini and it is awesome. New sets, smooch Spritz (love it!) and the new texture folder.
If you are in Canada and would like a mini. Let me know and I will pop one in the mail for you.

Happy stamping.

Happy Monday. I have been experiencing internet difficulties most of the day. I decided that this month I would showcase some retiring sets. This is the one I am saddest about. I love this set. It is amazing for watercolouring. It is called Bloomin'Beautiful. Here I used so saffron, pretty in pink and bashful blue. I also used a floral brad, I have had these forever and never even craked the seal. I decided I needed to stop hoarding and use all the stuff in my craft room.
I love this card. It turned out so pretty and feminine. I used the colour combo of Perfect Plum and Pale plum ( I will truely miss this colour) with just a touch of Bashful Blue. The wheel I used here is Bella's Border (112476) is retiring as well. I love how this card turned out. I found the sketch for it here

Keep checking the links in the blog post below. It is updated as to which accessories are sold out. The colours are selling out fast.

I am almost out of these wonderful swaps to share. I need to get back to the craft table and get creating. It should be easy with dreams of the new catalogue dancing in my head. This card is made by Cybdi Willis. I love the new vanilla tags that are in the mini. They are awesome for cards and scrap book pages. I am still in the hoarding stage with these. This card is so bright and summery. It was designed by Lindsey Stovel. I am now wishing I had ordered the paper and stamps too. They are such fun summer invites or party theme ready. Great card!
This final card for today is my swap card. Boy was it ever a work in progress changing many times before I said Ï like this" The main image is very glittery so it didn't photograph well. But I think it looks great in real life. I love the colour combo and the little flower fusion flower. I am so into making my own flowers these day's it's easy and fun and I do have all the tools.

I hope you all have a fabulous day and happy stampin'.
