Good morning it is a nice sunny day here and I am busy scrapping away, don't have anything ready to show yet, but later today I will post the page I am working on.

I recently came across the few random pictures taken of my childhood (youngest child syndrome) I want to be able to present them in a meaningful way, so that when I look back on them I get all misty eyed and my kids understand their mother in a new way. LOL So I have been keeping track of a few fun and essential pages for any one's scrapbook.

1: Share the three most defining Moments of your life. This is a good one and one I have pondered for a long while. As a cancer survivor I feel an even bigger need to tell my story so my kids will maybe come to understand me. Ok, I know I'm dreaming but it might happen.

2: Describe yourself in 5 words. This is another really cool one that I can't wait to do. I also think this should be done yearly. A good January project while all those goals are still fresh in our minds.

3 Focus on a hidden talent. I have been told we all have talents, some hidden some we love to share. Take the time to let the world know what you can do. As long as it's not embarrassing. :)

4: Reveal a life long dream. We all live busy lives. Sometimes we put our dreams on hold due too, raising a family, illness, caring for others. It's time to put those dreams down on paper.

5: Share a life changing quote or phrase. I am a quote person. I love them, they uplift me greatly. Today I found this one "Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul" Write and share those strong feelings of love, joy and gratitude but don't forget hope and faith.

I know that I plan to do these very layouts. I will share them as I create them.
Hopefully you can find an idea here that sparks your interest.
Happy Scrapping.

It is another cold gray day here in the Ferry. It was fun to be able to whip together a Fun summer layout. Made me feel warmer..... but makes me wish for spring and summer's flowers, the smell of fresh cut grass and bird's featuring from the south.
I used the new Sweet Pea digital kit. Super easy to download and no waiting for shipments to process. :)

I am still learning and just messing around with the basic pieces I hope to receive some advanced training soon. I love the fact that I can actually get some of the piles of pictures I have scrapped quickly and on the go. My girl's are also thrilled that I am finally getting to it. I just need a few more pages completed to I can send them to the printer. I love the new Sweet pea kit it included 48 papers, stamps and embellishments. Great deal for under 14.00.

Well I know that today is Saturday and not Friday, and that I missed Thursday completely. LOL I will do my very best to put up something new everyday, but with kids, pets and a husband, some days I don't get anywhere near the computer.
So today I am taking you back in time to introduce you to Focus Friday.

On Focus Fridays, I will be presenting an item from the catalogues and presenting ways to use it. I find sometimes though I have been over and over the catalogues I sometimes miss a set or product and think "Aha, that's what I have been looking for".

So today I am going to present to you one of the new Clear Mount Sets.

These sets come in a DVD case for easy storage, have a picture of the set on the front and the spine for identification. The sets are still the red rubber that you know and love, but now with cling mount so you can use clear blocks and save space. They come the same as wood mount sets but instead of putting them on the wood you put an image sticker on the back. I love this new option and won't be acquiring any more wood mount stamps. Hooray for organization.

This card I call a Faux Belly Band card, the original Creator of the card calls it an accordion card. I did CASE this card, I mean it was too wonderful to not case it. The original Creator was BJ Peter's and I learned how to do it from fellow demo Tami White who was sweet enough to share.
I changed colours and punches, ect but it is pretty close to her original.

The inside of the card hides the friend's sentiment and you will see it when you open the card. I really love fancy fold cards, I think it just takes cards to the next level.
This set is called Vintage Vogue and it has a jumbo wheel that goes with it. I really love the vintage sets and I am thrilled to be able to let you know this set will carry over to the next idea book.

This is just a close up of the band, I used the masking technigue and will continue to reach for this set. I just love it, it lends itself to all kinds of cards and colour schemes.
I hope you enjoyed your trip back in time.

Wow, welcome to Wednesday. It is a very cold and snowy day here. Perfect for working away on something I've been meaning to do foe years. That would be scrap booking. Preserving memories for my kids and grand kids. So that things that are important to me, will hopefully mean something to them. So on Wednesday's I am going to share scrap booking pages, tips and hints.

This page means alot to me, because without these people I would not be here. They are my paternal grandparents and although I never got the chance to know them. (My grandfather passed many years before I was born and my grandmother had Alzheimer's and never knew who I was but enjoyed my visits)

How I wish I could have know them through more than stories. But I can enjoy the few photo's that I have.

This was taken on their wedding day in 1910. I am still trying to find out more details and hopefully with my sister playing Sherlock Holmes and me finding my inner Nancy Drew we should be able to get more info assembled.

Some cool things about the layout is I used the new paper from the Occasions mini catalogue called Sending love (117153) what I love about this paper is it is glittered. It is so beautiful, I can't wait to use it again.
I glittered the letters from the tag with black chunky glitter. I love the combo of black with pink. The word's Wahre Liebe means true Love in German.
The birds are from a punch also new (117191) and I glittered the birds wings.

What I love most about scrap booking is that it is so personal. You can do what you like and it's all good.

The above photo is just a close up of the journal block. My sister just supplied me with the info so I can now finish the page.

These are few pic's of the glitter paper. If you love bling this paper is for you. I love glitter, usually my kids are pointing out that I am covered in it. No mess with these papers.

I had plans for last week but as usual the best laid plans don't work out. Between doctor's appointments, emergencies and pheasants flying through windows in the middle of the night, my week didn't go as planned so the big changes are happening this week....... so with no further ado. Welcome to My Digital Monday!

These are the newest add on's to the MDS line. We have a new recipe kit, invitation and the Sweet pea kit (too darn sweet) and textured card stock in the core colours.
I can't wait to order mine this week. I have plans for the sweet pea kit. :)

I am going to share a card with you today. I love MDS for being able to have access items not in my own collection.
In MDS you can create cards in these sizes 5x7 portrait, 7x5 landscape, 6x6 square, 41/4x51/2 Portrait and 51/2x41/4landscape.
It also allows you to start from scratch or to customize a layout already done.

Another thing I love about the MDS is it is on my laptop, so I can take it anywhere I go. Very handy for all those long hours waiting in the hospitals.
Come back tomorrow for more new Tuesday madness.

Good morning and welcome to My Digital Monday. On Mondays I will be sharing tips, hints and projects using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio.

I love this software. It is so user friendly, I haven't wanted to throw my computer against a wall once. I have tried other programs only to be frustrated beyond belief.
A few things I love about this, is the cool SU sets and papers. Everything is sized to the actual embellishment so you can easily hybrid scrap if you want to.
I love that I can design a page and change things around without ruining paper if I don't like the placement of something.
It also lets you edit photo's for colour and brightness.

I also like how fast I can complete a project when time is tight.
As you can see with a 2 year old in the house, I am kept on my toes....... so join me on Mondays for an adventure in the digital world.

I hope everybody had a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. My tree is down and I can finally get back to crafting. It was a busy time and flew too quick. But all the pictures I took can now go into scrapbooks.......once I finish the pages of course.

This is also a favorite time of year for me as the new Occasions mini and Sale-a- Bration start tomorrow.

These are my top 5 picks from the Occasions Mini

1: 117153 Sending Love specialty paper. This is beautiful and it is dusted with glitter. Glitter is part of the design on one side of every sheet. I was so excited when I saw it. Perfect for Valentine's Day.

2: 118138 Beautiful wings. This is a sizzix Embosslet's die that cuts and embosses 4 small butterflies. It is so cute and perfect for spring.

3: 117690 Vintage Vogue stamp set. I got it in the new clear mount style.
This is a beautiful and versitile set.

4: 117161 Sweet Pea paper stack. This is a great collection of papers, 48 double sided sheets in a great colour pallet. Co ordinates with the sweet pea stitched felt.

5: 116980 Chocolate Bunny. This guy is just too sweet, no pun intended. Reminds me of the choclate bunnies of my past. Wonderful for cards and scrapbooking.

I will post some samples tomorrow for your viewing pleasure. You can also access the catalogue by clicking on it in the side bar.
Also look out next week for a new blog format. Great changes for 2010!
